The Record Keeper is a reinvention of Frederick Douglass’ arc in Narrative of the Life and Times of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave. The story is about breaking free from slavery and is being published to coincide with Juneteenth, the American holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
